Top 10 Monthly Newsletter

While at the EDC, each month featured a newsletter called 'Top 10' that highlighted the top ten things to know about economic development in the Grand Forks region. My responsibility was to identify the relevant content, compile the list, understand the topic and how it impact the readers, and compile it into the MailChimp to send to the 1,770+ subscribers.

Support Spotlight Monthly Newsletter

While at the EDC, part of my responsibility included marketing the economic development support programs available to local businesses. To increase awareness, I added an additional monthly newsletter called 'Support Spotlight' that featured support programs available, eligibility, and how to learn more information. My responsibility was to work with the Business Development Manager to compile the monthly list of featured programs, simplify program information into quick and easy-to-understand bullets, compile it in MailChimp and send it.

Top 4 Reasons To Live On Campus

While at UND in Dining and Housing, a large part of my responsibility was to recruit students to live on campus through marketing efforts. This email was part of the large plan highlighted in the Marketing Campaigns. My responsibility was to craft the messages, which was done as part of the larger campaign, identify content relevant to the reader, make it easy to understand, and get them to complete the call-to-action, which was applying to return to live on campus. This was created through Constant Contact.

Wednesday Weekly: Work For Dining

While at UND in Dining and Housing, another large part of my responsibility was to recruit students to work for dining. Workforce shortages were a huge issue facing the department. To communicate with the around 2,000 incoming first-year students, I created a weekly newsletter called, "Wednesday Weekly" so it was simple to understand and clear as to when it would be delivered. My responsibility was to create the messages that were featured in the email, compile the email and content within it, design it within Constant Contact, and send it.

Dining Updates

Communicating to students about dining updates was one of my primary responsibilities while at UND. The emails were sent as needed. My responsibility was to understand what content needed to be communicated, compile that into easy-to-understand information, design the email in Constant Contact, and send it.
